Card Making Project - Sparkling Tree Card

This is the first of 2 cards made by Mary using the Hunkydory Sparkling Tree set of card toppers and coordinating backing card. For this card Mary uses one of the backing cards and one of the die cut toppers. The topper is backed by silver mirror card and the ribbon attached to create a hanging picture effect.

To make this card you will need:

Select the backing card from the pack with the foiled tree. Using a scoring board and tool score down the centre of the A4 card to form A5 creased card.
Place pink and lilac self adhesive 3mm gems around tree pattern
Using 5mm double sided tape add silver ribbon down left hand side of the card. Select the star corner peel offs and attach the peel off corners to the top and bottom left corners over the ribbon. Add a pink gem to the centre of each star on the corner peel offs.
Push out the sentiment from the topper sheet. Using the silver mirror card draw around the sentiment topper with a pencil. Cut out the shape using decoupage scissors.
Take a small length of the silver lame ribbon and fold it in two and attach the ends to the top of the silver mirror card shape using mini glue dots. Using foam tape attach the sentiment topper to the silver mirror card shape. This creates the hanging mirror effect topper. Attach the topper to the card using double sided tape. Hold the folded ribbon in place by attaching a mini glue dot on the fold.
Using the silver lame ribbon make a small bow and attach it over the fold of the ribbon using mini glue dots.
Add 3mm self adhesive gems to the centres of the hanging baubles on the topper and another to the right of the M in Merry. Add another gem to the centre of the snowflake at the top right of the card.
