Card Making Project - Festive Memories Christmas Card 1
Made by Mary

This is the first of 2 cards by Mary used the Hunkydory Classic Christmas Card Toppers - Festive Memories. The red of the Georgian pillar box is reflected in the backing paper and satin ribbon and bow.

To make this card you will need:

A4 White Linen Card
A4 Silver Mirror Card
Pack of 6 A4 Sheets of Christmas Printed Paper
Hunkydory Classic Christmas Card Toppers - Festive Memories
Glitter Glue - Rainbow White
7mm Double Sided Satin Ribbon - Cardinal
Decorative Edge Scissors or Carl RT-200 Rotary Trimmer and Decorative Blade
3D Double Sided Foam Pads 10mm Square
5mm Double Sided Fingerlift Tape
Mini Glue Dot
EaziScore or Hougie Board
Ribbon Cutter and Sealer (Optional)
Bowmaker (Optional)

Score the A4 white linen card down the middle to make an A5 creased card.

Cut the silver mirror card to A5 then trim the edges using decorative scissors or the rotary trimmer and decorative blade. Glue centrally on the card using double sided tape.

Cut a piece of the red Merry Christmas paper from the paper pack to leave a border of the silver mirror card of approx. 6mm all around the edge.  Using double sided tape glue the backing paper centered on the mirror card.
The size of the paper may vary depending on the decorative edging used  and how much of the A5 silver mirror card was trimmed when used the scissors or blade. As a guide the backing paper on this card measures 125mm x 187mm.

Push out the pillar box card topper.  Highlight the snow around the pillar box using glitter glue.  Attach the topper to the card using 3D 10mm square foam pads.

Cut 2 lengths of cardinal ribbon the same width as the backing paper and, using double sided tape, glue one above the other towards the bottom of the card.
The ribbon cutter and sealer stops the ribbon from fraying. If using, cut the ribbon a bit bigger than the width of the card and then pop each end in turn into the Ribbon cutter and sealer to seal the edges.

Cut another length of cardinal ribbon and make a bow. Attach this to the card just above the double row of ribbon using a mini glue dot.
If you're the sort of person who is all fingers and thumbs when it comes to making bows use a bowmaker - it's much easier.
