Card Making Project - Glittered Reindeer Christmas Card
Made by Margaret H

A white card that sparkles with the use of Stardream Crystal card and ultrafine crystal glitter.

You need a die cutting machine to make this card.
To make this card you will need:

A4 Stardream Crystal Card x 2
Ultra Fine Jewel Glitter Powder - Crystal
5mm Kanban Bling Iridescent Self Adhesive Gems
Marianne Creatables LR0116
Spellbinders Shapeabilities Frosty Forms
Spellbinders Shapeabilities Create-A-Flake Four
M-Bossabilities - 5 x 7 Holiday Magic
Die Cutting Machine - Cuttlebug, Big Shot or Grand Calibur
Peel Offs - Merry Christmas Large Silver
3mm Ultra High Tack Double Sided Tape
Photo Glue
Mini Glue Dots
Extra Strength Glue Stick or Craft Glue
EaziScore or Hougie Scoring Board (Optional)
Magic Anti-Static Bag (Optional)
Clean and Clear Tray (Optional)

Take one of the sheets of A4 Crystal card and score it down the middle to create an A5 creased card. Using the 3mm ultra high tack tape create the grid on the front of the card.
Beginners tip 1: running the Magic anti static bag over the card before starting to build the grid will help the glitter, when applied, only to stick to the double sided tape and the remainder to shake easily off the card.
Beginners tip 2: when building the grid start with the 2 corner to corner diagonals first. This will make it easier to space the other grid lines as you build the grid up.

Once all the diagonal lines are in place go around the 4 edges on the front of the card with the 3mm ultra high tack tape. Apply the crystal glitter and shake off the excess either onto a large sheet of paper or into the Clean and Clear Tray.

Cut pieces of the second sheet of A4 Stardream Crystal to fit the Marianne frame and larger flourish in the LR0116 set. You will need 2 of the large flourish. Run the frame and flourish through the die cutting machine and then run the second flourish through. Put to one side.

Cut pieces of the Stardream Crystal card to fit the reindeer and border from the Frost Forms die set and the smallest snowflake from the Create-A-Flake Four set. Run through the die cutting machine once to cut and then, changing plates to those suitable for your machine, run them through again to emboss.

The Marianne frame is not glittered. Position the frame on the card and glue down using photo glue.

Take the remaining die cut pieces and apply a glue stick or craft glue to each piece then shake on the crystal glitter.
Tip: you only need a fine layer of glue so if you are using wet glue decant a little into an egg cup or saucer and apply with a wide paint brush or stencil brush so you don't get too much glue on the die cuts. It doesn't matter if you don't get total coverage with the glue as the die cuts are enhanced with glitter rather than covered in glitter.

Using photo glue, position each die cut, with the exception of the snowflake, on the card and stick down. Attach the snowflake where the 2 flourishes join with a mini glue dot and place a self adhesive 5mm gem in the centre.

Add the Merry Christmas peel off to the centre of the frame.
