Card Making Project - Postcard and Butterfly Card

A very pretty card in lilac, white. and cream using the Lavender Postcards Die Cut Foiled Toppers and the Crafty Edge to create the fancy border. The cream card showing through the punched lilac border accentuates the intricate lace pattern.
You do need a die cutting machine to make this card but only for the tag to hold the peel off. If you don't have a die cutting machine then you can still make this card - just cut the Stardream Quartz card to a rectangle a little larger than the peel offs.

Using a scoring board crease the A4 Cream Hammer card to make an A5 creased card. Cut the Stardream Kunzite paper to A5 and punch down one side using the Crafty Edger and the Antique Floral cassette. Attach to the front of the card using double sided fingerlift tape.
Cut a length of lilac satin edged organdie ribbon and, using 5mm double sided fingerlift tape, attach it to the left hand side of the card about 5mm from the creased edge. Take a silver narrow border peel off and run it down the card just to the right of the ribbon.
Cut a piece of silver mirror card 4 mm larger than the topper, both in width and height (for the Eiffel Tower card topper this should be 82mm x 106mm but use a ruler to confirm the measurements) and round each of the corners with the corner rounder punch. Push out and mount the card topper onto the silver mirror card using double sided tape so that there is a 2mm border of silver mirror card all around the card topper. Using 3D foam tape position this near the top of the card, approximately 8mm from the top edge of the card, slightly off centre so that is nearer the punched border, i.e. approximately 40mm from the creased edge of the card..
Push the floral and butterfly decorations from the Lavender Accents sheet. Place the floral topper just to the bottom left of the main topper using 3D foam tape. Adhere the butterfly to the top right of the card topper, using double sided tape down the middle of the butterfly only, so that half of it covers the topper on the card and the other half is to the right of the topper. Raise the butterfly's wings slightly.
Add the chiffon bow to the top left hand corner of the card using mini glue dots and setting the bow at an angle. Add 4 lavender pearls to the bottom of the satin edged lilac ribbon.
Using the tag die from the Fancy Tags Three die set run it once through the die cutting machine to cut and then, changing plates, once again to emboss. Glue in place on the card using double sided tape. Add the Birthday Wishes greeting to the centre of the die cut. To finish push out one of the small circle motifs from the Lavender Accents sheet and, using mini glue dots, adhere to the left of the greeting so that only half of the circle overlaps the die cut tag.
