Card Making Project - A Walk in the Garden Delight

This is an economical card to make as it simply uses backing card from A Walk in the Garden paper pack and some pretty polka dot ribbon. It's also an easy make card. If your not confident with decorative scissors, and don't have a trimmer with fancy blades, then swap the colonial edge scissors for deckle edge scissors to avoid having to match up the pattern.

To make this card you will need:
 A4 Stardream Amethyst Card A Walk in the Garden 6 x 6 Glittered Paper Pad10mm Polka Dot Ribbon - Spring GreenStraight Lines and Corners Peel Offs - GoldNarrow Borders Peel Offs - Gold3D Foam Pads 3mm Thick5mm Double Sided Fingerlift TapePhoto Glue Carla Craft Scissors - Colonial or DC-200 Rotary Trimmer and Colonial BladeEaziScore or Hougie Board |

Score the Stardream Amethyst card down the middle to make an A5 creased card.
Tip: if you are using the EaziScore this is the A4 Half Fold line.
Trim the front of the card down the side with decorative scissors. Nearest the decorative edge of the card place a gold narrow border running down the card. Nest to this place a gold straight border.
Using the spring green polka dot ribbon and double sided tape, glue the polka dot ribbon to the inside edge of the card so that it is just seen behind the cut decorative edge when the card is closed.
Cut another piece of the spring green polka dot ribbon longer than the card. Make a little bow in the length of ribbon and then glue approximately 5mm from the creased edge of the card using double sided tape. Trim off any excess ribbon.
Select the two backing papers from the paper pad. Cut the lemon card with purple glittered flowers to 105mm wide and 148mm long and the green card with the floral corner to 85mm wide and 80mm long using decorative scissors to cut both pieces of card. Glue the large rectangular piece of card to the front of the card using photo glue. Turn to smaller piece of card so that it is a diamond shape and glue this on top using 3D foam pads.
Push out the die cut Smile sentiment found at the back of A Walk in the Garden paper pad and fix into position at the bottom of the card using 3D foam pads.
