Card Making Project - Bluebells Inverted Pyramid Decoupage Card

Inverted pyramid decoupage is where the layers are built up on the outer edge of the picture drawing the eye from the edge to the centre. The use of illusion film in this card adds interest and depth to the purple card underneath and the combination of purple card and clear/white illusion film colour coordinates beautifully with the bluebells.

To make this card you will need:
 A4 Purple Plover Smooth Card cut and creased to 148mm x 148mmBluebells and Butterflies Pyramid Decoupage SheetClear White Waves Illusion FilmBirthday Sentiments Sheet in SilverKanban Spring Garden Lilac Borders4mm Round Lilac GemsPhoto GlueDidi Glue Dots3D Foam Pads 1mm Thick or Silicon Glue |

Make up the inverted pyramid decoupage from the Bluebells and Butterflies sheet using 3D foam pads or silicon glue. If you have used silicon glue then leave overnight to dry.
Cut the illusion film to 148mm x 148mm.
Attach 2 Didi glue dots – one to each of the top corners of the clear white illusion film – and photo glue along the bottom of the illusion film (where it will be hidden by the butterfly border) and in the middle (where it will be hidden by the pyramid decoupage. Attach the illusion film to the front of the purple card.
Glue the inverted pyramid decoupage to the centre of the card using photo glue.
Trim the butterflies border from the Kanban Spring Garden Lilac Borders to 148mm. Glue to the bottom of the card using photo glue.
Cut out the Happy Birthday greeting from the sentiments sheet. Attach cornerways to the top right hand corner of the card using photo glue and then trim so it is flush with the top and side of the card.
Add 2 round lilac gems using Didi glue dots to hide the glue dots used to attach the illusion film to the top of the card.
