Card Making Project - Gold and Ivory Wedding Day Card

This beautiful wedding card looks as if it took a lot of work to make but actually it's easy - the Big Shot did
all the work.

 



To make this card you will need:

Big Shot, Cuttlebug or Grand Calibur Die Cutting Machine
Grand Calibur Embossing Plate for embossing folders (only if using the Grand Calibur machine)
Nellie's Multi Frame Die - Heart
Roses Embossing Folder
Swiss Dots Embossing Folder
Floral Flourishes and Vines Embossing Folder Set

A4 Stardream Quartz Card
A piece of Stardream Quartz Card for the heart die cut
A4 Stardream Opal Card
Piece of So Silk Vanity Pearl Card

Creating the Offset Gatefold Card
Score 1 side of the A4 Stardream Quartz card to 85mm and the other side to 75mm fold to make an offset gatefold card, so that one side will slightly overlap the other.

Creating the Embossed Panels
Cut 2 pieces of Stardream Opal card: 1 measuring 80mm wide by 200mm and the other measuring 70mm by 200mm. Place one of the pieces of card into the Roses and Swiss Dots folders, so that the Roses folder is at the top and the Swiss Dots on the bottom.  Run through the die cutting machine. Repeat the same process with the other card.

There will be a crease on each card 2 different embossing patterns meet. Use the congratulations ribbon to hide the crease by attaching a length to each piece of card using 6mm double sided tape.
Attach each piece of embossed Stardream Opal card to the to the Stardream Quartz creased card using double sided tape. Edge the around the embossed card with the gold rope glitter borders.

Making the Die Cut Heart
Cut out the large heart using the largest die from the Nellie's Multi Frame Heart die and Stardream Quartz card and running it through the die cutting machine.
Run the plain heart from the die set and the So Silk Vanity Pearl card through the die cutting machine. Place the die cut heart in the Floral Flourishes and Vines embossing folder and run through the die cutting machine.

Place a small piece of the gold on cream congratulations ribbon around the heart using double sided tape on the back of the heart to hold it in place.

Attach the embossed heart to larger heart using foam pads, then attach the hearts to the 85mm side of the card so it overlaps the 75mm side.

Adding the Finishing Touches
Cut out  the On Your Wedding Day sentiment and attach to the op corner of the 85mm side of the card with foam pads.

Attach the double gold hearts to the bottom of the 75mm side of the card with mini glue dots.
