Card Making Project - Amethyst Butterfly Card
Made by Irene

This is a simple card to make but does require a die cutting machine. Irene has used a pretty backing card and toning die cut images to make this delightful card.

To make this card you will need:

198mm x 198mm White Card Blank
Lilac Floral Stripe Card from the Set of 5 Double Sided A4 Cards  Pinks and Lilacs
A4 Stardream Amethyst Card
Die Cutting Machine - Cuttlebug, Big Shot or Grand Calibur
Kars Cut and Emboss Mat (if using the Big Shot or Cuttlebug)
Sizzix Texture Impressions Pad (if using the Big Shot or Cuttlebug)
Marianne Craftables – Butterfly
Sizzix Framelits – Square with Ornate Edges
Spellbinders Shapeabilities Fancy Tags Two
Peel Offs - Birthday Mix – Silver
3D Foam Pads 1mm Thick
Double Sided Adhesive Tape
Photo Glue

Using double sided tape cover the front of the card with a piece of the background card cut to 198mm x 198mm.  To make it fit neatly and keep the pattern even at each side, trim 5mm off each side of the background card.

Using the Sizzix Framlelits die run a piece of  amethyst card through the die cutting machine and using photo glue attach the frame towards to the centre bottom of the card.

Using the Marianne Butterfly die run another piece of amethyst card through the die cutting machine. Do not remove the card from the dies. Run through the die cutting machine again using the pink embossing plate and tan mat if using the Grand Calibur or the Kars cut and emboss mat and Sizzix texture pad if using the Cuttlebug or Big Shot.  Attach the completed die to the centre of the frame using 3mm foam pads.

Using one of the Spellbinders Fancy Tag Two dies run a piece of amethyst card through the die cutting machine then, without removing the card from the die, run it through again to emboss.  Attach this to the top centre of the card using photo glue. Complete by adding peel off sentiments to the centre of the tag.
