Card Making Project - Bride and Groom Card
Made by Madeleine

This wedding invitation is made using the die cut bride and groom an the Marianne Creatables Anja's Edge die. The colour of the card can be changed to reflect the bride's colour scheme. The first card is made using Stardream Opal and Skin Royal Purple and the second card uses Stardream Quartz and Stardream Coral.

You need a die cutting machine to make this card.

Marianne Creatables Anja's Edge
Die Cutting Machine such as the XCut Xpress, Cuttlebug or Big Shot
Die Cut Bride and Groom in Stardream Opal
3D Double Sided Foam Pads 3mm Thick
Photo Glue
EaziScore or Hougie Scoring Board

To make the quartz and coral card you will need:

A4 Stardream Quartz Card
Spare pieces of Stardream Quartz Card
A4 Stardream Coral Card
Marianne Creatables Anja's Edge
Die Cutting Machine such as the XCut Xpress, Cuttlebug or Big Shot
Die Cut Bride and Groom in Stardream Quartz
3D Double Sided Foam Pads 3mm Thick
Photo Glue
EaziScore or Hougie Scoring Board
The instructions given are to make the opal and purple card. If making the quartz and coral card simply substitute the card you are using when following the steps below.

Cut the Stardream Opal card to measure 297mm x 148mm and score down the centre using a scoring board to make a 148mm x 148mm square card. (If using the EaziScore this is the A4 half fold score line).

Cut a 2 pieces of the Stardream Opal card to measure 55mm x 134mm. Place one piece of the card over the Anja's Edge die so that the top and bottom of the cutting edge just peeks out and the side cutting edge is approx. 5mm from the edge of the card.
If you are concerned that the die might move as it's run through the machine hold it in place with some low tack masking tape.

Run it through the die cutting machine using the plates appropriate for your machine to cut it. Change the plates to those you need for embossing thin dies and run it through again to emboss it.
Unsure of the correct "sandwich" for your machine? See our blog article on Using Cut and Emboss Dies in the Cuttlebug, and Big Shot

Repeat the cutting and embossing with the second piece of Stardream Opal card.

Cut a piece of Skin Royal Purple paper to measure 134mm x 134mm.

Using photo glue, glue one piece of the Anja's Edge die to the left of purple paper with the lattice at the top and the other piece to the right hand side of the card with the lattice at the bottom.

Using photo glue attach the purple paper to the Stardream Opal creased card leaving an even border all the way around.

Position the bride and groom die cut in the centre using 3D foam pads.
