Card Making Project - Shaped Flower and Butterflies Card

This card uses Grand Nestabilities Labels Twenty Three (we measured it before making it to make sure it would fir into a C5 envelope). It would make a lovely birthday card.
You will need a Grand Calibur die cutting machine for this project.
Please note that this is the third largest die so it will fit into the Big Shot (although not the Cuttlebug). However the 2 larger dies in this set will not fit into the Big Shot.

To make this card you will need:

Cut the A4 Stardream Kunzite to 2 pieces of A5. Using the third largest Grand Labels Twenty Three die run through the Grand Calibur to cut and then change plates and run through again to emboss the edges. Repeat with the second A5 piece of Stardream Kunzite.
Using a scoring board score each piece of shaped card approx. 2.5 cms from the edge.
Take a length of purple satin ribbon and wind around the spine of the front of the card, holding it in place on the back of the card with double sided tape. Knot the ribbon at the front.
Using either photo glue or strips of high tack tape glue the two pieces of card together at the spine.
If using photo glue you will need to place a weight on the card to hold the back and front together whilst the glue dries.
Run the Splendid Circles Nestabilities through the die cutting machine first to cut and then to emboss as follows.
Largest die with Stardream Quartz card.
Second largest with Stardream Kunzite card.
Third largest with Stardream Quartz card.
For the largest die you will definitely need to use waxed paper between the die and the card to prevent the card becoming stuck in the die.
Attach the Kunzite die cut to the large Quartz die cut using 3D foam pads 10mm square. Attach the small Quartz die cut to the Kunzite die cut using 3D foam pads 3mm thick.
Using the Nellie's large floral punch and the smooth royal purple paper punch and emboss 2 flowers. Use a Didi glue dot to join the 2 punched flowers and another one to glue the flowers to the Quartz die cut. Place a Kanban iridescent gem in the centre. Attach the topper to the card using 3D foam pads 10mm square.
Using the Nellie's medium butterfly punch and the royal purple and Stardream Quartz paper, punch and emboss 2 royal purple and one Quartz butterflies. Attach to your card using Didi glue dots.
