Card Making Project - Embossed Inked Card

Irene used a brayer and distress ink pad to create the colouring of the embossed sections of this card. The card used in Tim Holtz Cor'dination Aged Mahogany and the distress ink is Victorian Velvet yet it look like a perfect match - this is because the distress ink is applied with the lightest of touches.
You will need a die cutting machine to make this card.

To make this card you will need:
 A4 Stardream Quartz Card x 2Tim Holtz Core'dinations Distress Card Stock - Aged MahoganyTim Holt Distress Ink – Victorian VelvetSpellbinders Nestabilities Labels EightD'vine Swirls Embossing FolderDie Cutting Machine - Cuttlebug, Big Shot or Grand CaliburPeel Offs – Happy Birthday with Hearts – Silver3mm Round Metals – SilverPop-In Speedball BrayerCorner Rounder PunchPhoto Glue EaziScore or Hougie Board (Optional) |

Take one of the sheets of A4 Quartz card and score it down the middle to create an A5 creased card and using the corner rounder punch the right hand side corners.
Using the corner rounder punch the corners of a piece of the Aged Mahogany card measuring 190 x 130mm
and glue it to the creased card using photo glue leaving a border of the Quartz card all round.
Repeat this process using a piece of Quartz card measuring 165 x 115mm and glue on top of the Aged Mahogany card, leaving a slightly wider border at the top to accommodate the peel off sentiments
Using the largest of the Spellbinders Labels 8 die run a piece of the Aged Mahogany card through the die cutting machine and glue to the centre of the Quartz card.
Repeat the process using a piece of Quartz card and the next size down Spellbinders Labels 8 die and then using the Divine Swirls embossing folder run the card through the embossing machine.
Run the brayer over the Tim Holt Distress Ink until the rollers are evenly covered with the ink then gently run the roller over the embossed piece of card so that only the embossed pattern is inked.
Tip: To make sure the brayer is evenly coated run it over a large piece of scrap paper before applying it to the embossed card with the lightest of touches.
Using photo glue attach this to the centre of the Aged Mahogany card.
Decorate the embossed Divine Swirls and the corners of the layered pieces of card and paper with silver round metals.
Complete the card by adding silver sentiments to the top centre of the card.
