Card Making Project - Flower Vase Birthday Card

The card topper comes from the Shimmering Watercolours Floral Frame sheet and, because it already has side openings, is perfect for threading through the lilac pleated ribbon.

To make this card you will need:

Score the A4 White Hammer card down the middle to create a tent fold A5 creased card.
Cut a piece of the roses backing paper to 200mm x 138mm and attach to the card centrally using double sided tape leaving an even border of the white hammer card all around. Place fine border peel offs around the edges of the backing paper.
Cut the Stardream Amethyst card to 192mm x 128mm and a piece of the roses backing paper to 186mm x 120mm. Attach the roses backing paper centrally on the Stardream Amethyst card using double sided tape.
Push the topper from the Shimmering Watercolours Floral Frame sheet. Tread a length of the Lilac pleated ribbon through the side openings of the topper. Apply photo glue to the back of the topper, avoiding the ribbon, and fix the topper in place on the roses backing paper. Keeping the pleated ribbon straight secure it behind the Stardream Amethyst card ultra high tack double sided tape.
 Using 3D foam tape at the back of the Stardream Amethyst card fix it centrally on the card.
On top of the ribbon, at each side of the card topper, place 5 5mm pearls. Add silver corner peel offs to each corner.
Break apart a paper rose and add the white petals as if fallen from the vase of flowers. You can quickly ink the bottom edge of the petals to add some colour to the white if required (this is optional) and leave to dry. Fix the petals in place using mini glue dots.
Push out the Birthday sentiment to match from the card topper sheet and attach it to the bottom of the card using 3D foam tape.
Mary used a coordinating insert from the Shimmering Watercolours Premium Inserts and Background Paper pack to complete the card.
