Card Making Project - Captured Blossom

Mary has taken the topper from the Shimmering Watercolours Floral Frame card topper sheet. The Apple Blossom topper frame has already folded edges lending itself to being used to raise above card. This provided a great chance to use acetate sheet to form a bowed front to card - a rose placed between the acetate and the topper creates the captured blossom.

To make this card you will need:

Using the A4 glittered floral backing card score it down the middle to make an A5 creased card
Push out the Apple Blossom topper centre and, using 5mm double sided tape place the topper centre into position on the card.
Cut a piece of acetate sheet to fit inside of frame and using 3mm Ultra High Tack Double Sided Tape on the folded back edges place over the Apple Blossom card topper.
Cut a small piece of lavender satin ribbon a little shorter than the acetate frame. Hang one paper rose near to the end of the ribbon securing it with a mini glue dot and then securing the ribbon against the card topper inside the frame with another glue dot. Stick the other end of the ribbon to the inside of the frame using a 3D foam pad.
Cut another piece of the lavender ribbon and make a bow. Glue it to the top of the frame using mini glue dots and place a 5mm self adhesive pearl just below the bow.
At each corner of the frame place two 3mm self adhesive pearls placing one at each side of the silver foil border so that one pearl is on the acetate and the other pearl on the frame.
Push out the Just for You sentiment and attach it to the card using 5mm double sided tape. Place a 5mm self adhesive pearl mat each side od the sentiment.
Mary used one of the Shimmering Watercolour matching inserts inside the card to finish.
