Card Making Project - Birds and Blossoms Card

Lots of strips of Ivory Organza Striped Ribbon and a bow add detail to this card which uses a topper and a sentiment left over from previous projects. The lacy flowers are created with rub-ons.

To make this card you will need:

Score the A4 cream linen card down the centre to make an A5 (148mm x 210mm) creased card.
Cut a piece of the Stardream Amethyst card to measure 110mm x 210mm. Rub the 2 flowers on the top and bottom of the card at the right hand side. Place a clear 5mm gem in the centre of each flower.
Glue the Stardream Amethyst card to the front of the cream linen card using photo glue and starting about 15mm in from the creased edge. This will leave more cream linen card showing at the right hand side of the card than the left.
Cut 5 lengths of the ivory organza striped ribbon each one 210mm long. Using double sided tape, attach two lengths to the creased card - one at either side of the Stardream Amethyst card, two lengths side by side down the length of the Stardream Amethyst card to the left of centre, and the final length down the front edge of the cream linen card.
Cut another piece of the ivory organza striped ribbon slightly longer than the previous ones. Tie a bow with this ribbon (if tying bows makes you all fingers and thumbs use a bowmaker) and fasten the bow in place with a mini glue dot.
From the Lavender Accents die cut foiled toppers sheet push out the 2 birds topper and fix in place using 3D foam tape so that the 2 ribbons on the amethyst card run under the centre of the topper.
Push out the For You sentiment from the Lavender Postcards topper sheet and place under the birds topper using 3D foam tape.
To complete the card Mary used an insert from the Shimmering Watercolours Premium Inserts and Background Paper pack that toned with the card and trimmed the edges using decorative scissors.
