Card Making Project - Birds and Butterflies Toppers Card

This A5 card is one of two projects that use the small card toppers that come as "extras" on card topper sheets. These appear quite often and in the past we have used them to decorate the insert of a card made with a larger topper but there is no reason why these little extras can't be used as the main feature for a card.
For this card Madeleine teamed a small round bird topper and a small round butterfly topper with a piece of card embossed with a bird and floral border embossing folder. Both the toppers come from the same sheet in the Hunkydory From the Heart Card Topper Collection. The backing card that was used comes from the same set.
You need a die cutting machine or Texture Boutique to make this card.

To make this card you will need:

With the card folder trim 8mm from the right hand edge of the creased card to give a creased card measuring 140mm x 210mm. Take the pale green floral border card from the card toppers pack and cut it to 140 x 210 using the left hand side of the printed card (the side with the birdhouse on will be used for a different project). Attach the printed card to the front of the creased card using photo glue and leave to dry.
Cut a piece of Stardream Crystal to 105 x 140mm. This size exactly covers the pattern in Bird Scroll Frame embossing folder so, once the card is lined up with the pattern you may want to hold it in place by putting a little masking tape on the edges of the closed embossing folder. Run the embossing folder and Stardream Crystal card through the die cutting machine or Texture Boutique machine. Adhere the embossed card to the upper centre of the card using photo glue and leave to dry.
Take the card topper sheet from the From the Heart pack that has the small round bird and round butterfly card toppers and the oval Just for You sentiment topper (all three are on the same sheet) and push them out. Using 3D foam pads 3mm thick fix the two toppers on the embossed Stardream Crystal card and the sentiment topper in the centre just below the embossed card so the top of the sentiment just overlaps the embossed card.
The finishing touch is two small sparkling pale pink butterflies attached to the Stardream Crystal embossed card using mini glue dots. Please note that although these butterflies are called "pale pink" they are in fact iridescent and the colour of them will change according to the light from pale pink to white or cream as they go paler and from pale pink to lilac and pink as they go darker.
