Card Making Project - Tranquil Moments Card

This 5 x 7 inches card is one of two projects that use the small card toppers that come as "extras" on card topper sheets. For this card Madeleine has used the small card topper as the finishing touch - the main feature being the Spellbinders Card Creator Tranquil Moments with all four dies in the set being used. Stardream Kunzite and Stardream Rose card is used for the die cuts as these reflect the colours of the card topper.
Spellbinds Card Creator Tranquil Moments is a very intricate die set, which is the attraction of the die cuts, so we strongly advise the use of wax paper between the card and the die when cutting.

To make this card you will need:

Cut the Marine Blue smooth card to 256 x 178 mm and then score down the middle to create a 128 x 178mm (5 x 7 inches) card.
Because Madeleine has the Carl RT-200 Rotary Trimmer which easily cuts through a double thickness of card she tends to crease the A4 card to A5 first using the EaziScore and then trim it. However, this can be quite wasteful of the offcuts, especially should you want to use the piece trimmed from the bottom as a border so use the method that best suits you.
Cut four pieces of wax paper a little bit larger than each of the four dies. Placing the wax paper between the card and the die and, using Kunzite card with the largest and smallest die and the tag, and Stardream rose with the medium size die, run the dies through the die cutting machine to cut.
In making this card, with the intricate design of these dies, we found it necessary to give each die a quarter turn and run it through the die cutting machine and then a further quarter turn and another run through.
Once you are satisfied that the card is properly cut, change plates and run them through the die cutting machine again to emboss.
Take the card topper sheet from the From the Heart pack that has the small round flower design card topper and push it out. Using photo glue attach it to the centre of the smaller Stardream Kunzite die cut.
Using 3D foam pads on the solid centres of the back of the die cuts onlu build up the layers as follows leaving a gap at the top and both sides of the cards of approximately 15mm.

Add the sentiment "Happy Birthday" from the peel off sheet to the centre of the Stardream Kunzite tag and place a 3mm pink self adhesive pearl at either side of the peel off wording. Using 3mm 3D foam pads attach to the bottom centre of the card.
