Card Making Project - Pink and Lilac Flower Card
Made by Mary

This large square 198 x 198mm card uses paper and embellishments in shades of pink and lilac to make a very pretty card.  Kaisercraft blooms are centred onto layers of embossed petals in shades of pink and lilac to reflect the colours used in the background papers.  The card continues its pink and lilac theme with an oval card topper and a polka dot ribbon bow.

Those of you who don't have a die cutting machine will be pleased to see that not a single die was used in the making of this card!

To make this card you will need:

198mm x 198mm Creased White Card Blank
Pastel Dots Paper Pack
Marianne Toppers Decoupage Rose Garden 2
Paper Flowers - Spring Blossom
Kaisercraft Blooms - Fairy Floss
10mm Polka Dot Ribbon - Lilac
3mm Self Adhesive Gems - Iridescent
Peel Offs - Straight Lines and Corners - Silver
Peel Offs - Fancy Corners and Fine Borders - Silver
Peel Offs - Happy Birthday Small - Silver
Photo Glue
Stix2 12 x 6mm Foam Pads 2mm Thick
Mini Glue Dots
Rotary Trimmer or Craft Knife, Cutting Mat and ruler.
Decoupage Scissors
Bow Maker (Optional)

Cut a sheet of both the pink and lilac polka dot papers to 198mm in length and glue to the front of the card, starting with the lilac paper at the top of the card, using photo glue.  You'll find that when the pink paper is added to the bottom of the card it overlaps the lilac paper by a mm or two.

Put straight line silver peel offs all around the card about 5mm from the edge to create a border.  Add four silver corners from the Fancy Corners and Fine Borders peel off sheet.

Cut out the larger of the two oval rose card toppers on the topper sheet.  Leaving room for the addition of the bow, place the card topper in the centre of the lilac pastel dots using 2mm 3D foam pads.

Take a two of the larger pink tinged petals and two of the slightly smaller lilac tinged petals from the Spring Blossoms pack and two Fairy Floss blooms from the Kaisercraft pack.  Layer one of the pink and one of the lilac petals together with a spot of glue and then glue one of the Fairy Floss blooms to the centre.  Repeat to make the second flower.

Using the lilac polka dot ribbon make a bow (Mary is very good at tying bows but if you are all fingers and thumbs, like the rest of us, then use a bowmaker).  Attach the bow to the centre of the card using mini glue dots.

Place the flowers at each side of the bow.

Add the silver Happy Birthday sentiment from the peel off sheet to finish.
