Card Making Project - Aurora Pin Wheel Card

This is a simple card to make if you have a die cutting machine. The background paper, which is die cut, coordinates beautifully with the pin wheel as both are from the Docrafts Bellisima capsule collection. Madeleine used the 5mm rainbow clear gems as they have a lilac cast when turned to the light.
The die is Aurora from the Create a Card range by Die'sire. The aperture cut in the centre with this die is the perfect size for the largest of the pin wheel embellishments.
You need a die cutting machine to make this card.

To make this card you will need:
 148mm x 148mm Creased Ivory Card Blank Docraft Bellisima A5 Paper PackPinwheels - Docrafts Capsule Collection - BellisimaLilac Chiffon Bow5mm Self Adhesive Acrylic Gems - Rainbow ClearDie Cutting Machine such as the XCut Xpress, Cuttlebug or Big ShotDie'sire Create a Card Die - AuroraPhoto GlueMini Glue DotsRotary Trimmer or Craft Knife, Cutting Mat and ruler.

Take a sheet of the pale blue with floral corner background paper and trim it to 148mm x 148mm. Using the Aurora die from the Card Creator range by Die'sire, run the die once through the die cutting machine to cut. Put the centre of the die cut to one side for another project. Adhere the rest of the die cut paper to the front of the card blank using photo glue and leave for a minute to dry.
As the paper used for this project is a patterned paper we did not emboss it as the detail of the embossing would blend with the pattern.
Peel off the large lilac pin wheel from the Bellisima pinwheel pack and fix in the centre of the card. Take 3 of the self adhesive rainbow clear gems and line them evenly across the button in the centre of the pin wheel.
Attach a chiffon bow to the bottom left corner and a rainbow clear gem to the centre.
In making this card Madeleine found the chiffon bow quite springy - as if it wanted to leap from the card. This was easily files by adding mini glue dots to both the sides and tails of the bow. Similarly the self adhesive gem need the addition of a mini glue dot before it was stuck firmly to the bow.
