Card Making Project - Angelic Heart Christmas Card

The use of iridescent vellum gives this card a beautiful sheen. The vellum is cut using the Christmas Create a Card die Softly Falling. Madeleine added glitter card for the snowflake die and some matt gold card for the border and filigree angel to create a simple white and gold colour scheme with just a touch of contrasting colour in the red ribbon.
Note that only the filigree angel - not the heart background - from the Marianne Design Filigree Angel Heart Craftables is used in this project.
You need a die cutting machine to make this card.

To make this card you will need:

Cutting the Card
Cut a piece of the matt gold card to 148 x 148mm and glue to the front of the card blank using photo glue. Cut another piece of the matt gold card slightly larger than the filigree angel heart die.
Cut a piece of the Stardream Crystal card and a piece of the iridescent vellum - each to measure 140 x 140mm.
Cut down the piece of iridescent white glitter card, if necessary, so that it is slightly larger than the Sussex snowflake die.
The Die Cuts
Start with the Create a Card die and the iridescent vellum. For this card the vellum is slightly smaller than the die so make sure that the vellum is centre on the die with an even space around the edges before running through the die cutting machine once to cut and then, changing plates, once again to emboss. Remove the centrepiece and put in your stash for use in another project.
Using photo glue, glue the vellum die cut to the front of the 140mm square Stardream Crystal card.
Run first the piece of glitter card through the die cutting machine with the Sussex snowflake die and then the filigree angel heart die with the matt gold card. These dies cut only.
Glue the snowflake die cut in the centre aperture of the vellum using photo glue. The snowflake will slightly overlap the aperture.
Apply 3D foam pads to the back of the filigree angel and adhere it to the centre of the aperture. The snowflakes should glitter through the filigree design on the angel heart.
Finishing the Card
Cut a piece of the gold on red 10mm Merry christmas ribbon long enough to cover the corner of the card with some spare to be taken around the back. Using double sided tape glue this in place at the top left of the card so that the Merry Christmas sentiment is centre diagonally on the card.
Using 3D foam pads glue the card front to the card leaving an even border of 4mm around the edges.
