Card Making Project - Purple Pansy Pot Card
Made by Irene
This is the second in the series of Irene's card ideas using the Cottage Garden Pansy Pot Card Making Kit and, instead of just adding the decoupage pieces to the creased cards in the kit, Irene has cut along the crease to make a lovely card on a large 198mm x 198mm card blank. By cutting Irene now has 2 plant pots which she overlaps to create this card, then adds the die cut decoupage pieces from the kit. The Royal Purple card echos the purple in the pansies and the glitter peel of nicely finishes the card.

Cut the Royal Purple paper to 188mm x 188mm and glue to the front of the card leaving a 5mm narrow white border.
Add rope borders round the edges of the Royal Purple paper.
Tip: if you want your peel offs to match in with the colours of a card using the silver/clear or gold/clear glitter peel offs is ideal as the colour of the card underneath will show through.
Cut the Purple Pansy Pot in half and using photo glue or double sided tape stick the two pieces of topper to the centre of the card so that they overlap slightly and just fit onto the card.
Using either foam pads or silicon glue complete the decoupage.
To finish use a sentiment from the Pansy Pot card making kit, tucking it behind one of the decoupaged petals.
If you have used silicon glue for the decoupage you will need to leave the card to dry.
