Card Making Project - The Hidden Gift Double Fronted Card

This double fronted card hides a surprise when the first front is opened. You need a scoring board to ensure the crease of the false front of the card is sharp.

To make this card you will need:

Cut the gold and silver foiled backing card to 198mm x 198mm and, using double sided tape, attach to the front of the 198mm x 198mm creased card ensuring that the foiled border is at the top.
Take the plain black card included in the pack and cut it to measure 198mm x 198mm. Score the card 10mm in from the left hand edge. Starting at the crease, that is, 10mm from the left hand edge of the card, cut the card diagonally from top left to bottom right using decorative scissors or a rotary trimmer with a decorative blade.
Before cutting the card on the diagonal you may find it useful to first draw a line in pencil from the top of the crease to the bottom right hand corner on the reverse of the card to use as a guide when cutting.
Fold the card back along the crease line to make a narrow hinge crease applying ultrahigh tack double sided tape along the inside of the hinge and attach it to the front of the card.
Snip the gold and silver flower border from the topper sheet and place it on top of the hinge with double sided tape starting at the bottom. At the small gap left at the top place a 5mm gold self adhesive gem.
Push out the bride figure and gift card toppers from the card topper sheet.
The second border for the slanted front is actually cut from the right edge of the topper sheet and attached with just below the decorative edge on the diagonal with double sided tape.
Place the gift topper on the centre of the inside front.
Snip the Congratulations border from the card topper sheet and, using double sided tape, place along the bottom of the inside front.
Using double sided tape on only the part of the bride figure being glues to the card, place the figure into position on front in such a way that it covers sight of the gift topper.
