Card Making Project - Oyster Blush Pin Wheel Card
Made by Irene

Create an impact with this large square 198 x 198mm card in Stardream Bronze and Stardream Coral using Spellbinders Shapeabilities Butterfly Corner and Spellbinders Nestabilities Floral Ovals.  The backing paper, bow and pin wheel are all from the Docrafts Capsule Collection - Oyster Blush.

Because the Shapeabilities Butterfly Corner is a large intricate die we advise the use of wax paper between the card and the die when cutting.  This will also prevent the card from stretching when it is removed from the die.

You need a die cutting machine to make this card.

To make this card you will need:

198mm x 198mm Creased White Card Blank
A4 Stardream Bronze Card x 2
A4 Stardream Coral Card
Matt Gold Card
Docraft Capsule Collection - Oyster Blush – 6x6 Paper Pack
Docraft Capsule Collection - Oyster Blush – Pin Wheels
Docraft Capsule Collection - Oyster Blush - 12 Large Bows
Peel Offs – Glitter Rope Borders – Gold/Clear
Die Cutting Machine - Cuttlebug, Big Shot or Grand Calibur
Spellbinders Shapeabilities Butterfly Corner
Spellbinders Nestabilities Floral Ovals
Cut-Rite Wax Paper
Photo Glue
3D Foam Pads 3mm Thick
Rotary Trimmer or Craft Knife, Cutting Mat and ruler.

Cut a piece of Stardream Bronze card to measure 198 x 198mm and, using photo glue, cover the front of the card..

Cut 4 pieces of Stardream Coral card and 4 pieces of wax paper a little larger than the Butterfly Corner die. Using  a sandwich of die with wax paper on top then the coral card run it through the die cutting machine once to cut and then, changing plates, once again to emboss. You will need to do this four times When all 4 corners are cut adhere one butterfly corner die cut to each of the four corners of the card.

For the centre matting and layering cut pieces of card and paper as follows:

1 piece of matt gold card measuring 140 x 140mm
1 piece of Stardream bronze measuring 130 x 130mm.
1 piece of paper from the Oyster Blush paper pack measuring 120 x 120mm.

Matt and layer first the matt gold card, then the Stardream bronze, and finally the Oyster Blush paper to the centre diamond of the card using photo glue leaving an even border between each layer

Add glitter rope peel offs to the edges of the butterfly corners.

Using the largest of the Floral Ovals dies run a piece of bronze card through the die cutting machine once to cut and then, changing plates, once again to emboss. Using foam pads stick this to the centre of the card and then add one of the larger Oyster Blush pin wheels to the centre.

Using glut dots stick one of the Oyster Blush bows to the top centre of the card.
