Card Making Project - Marianne Bird on Branch Card
Made by Madeleine from and idea by Irene
This is such a pretty paper that it need little by way of embellishment to make a lovely card. Following through on the bluebird theme of the paper birds on a branch and a single bird was added using die cuts. Madeleine used the little bird from the Marianne Creatables Fence Set for this card but the little bird from the Marianne Creatables Ivy would do equally as well.
You need a die cutting machine to make this card.

The Background
Take a sheet of the bluebirds and blossoms background paper and adhere it to the front of the A5 card using photo glue.
Creating the Die Cuts
Using the piece of Stardream Lagoon card run the Marianne Craftables Birds Silhouette die once through the die cutting machine to cut and then, changing plates (or increasing the number on the dial depending on which die cutting machine you are using) once again to emboss. Apply photo glue and position and fix in place on the card.
Using the piece of Stardream Vista card, run the Birds Silhouette die and the bird from either the Marianne Craftables Fence Set or the Ivy die set to cut our the birds. Change plates, or adjust dial, and run through again to emboss. Snip the feet of the two birds of the Birds Silhouette die from the branch and, using photo glue, place over the lagoon birds on the branch on the front of the card.
If you wish to add gilding wax to the other smaller bird then apply it to the embossed wing of the bird only. Using photo glue, attach the bird on the blossom at the right hand side of the card.
Making the Stamped Sentiment
Cut a piece of the smooth white card and stamp the Happy Birthday sentiment using sky blue versa colour ink. Sprinkle over the clear embossing powder and shake the excess back into the tub. Heat emboss using a heat gun for a few minutes until the embossing powder gives a raised gloss effect on the wording.
Using the tag die from the Spellbinders Card Creator Devine Eloquence set position it over the wording and fix in place with a little low tack masking tape, removing any excess tackiness from the tape first, so that it doesn't move when run through the die cutting machine. Run through the die cutting machine once to cut and then a second time to emboss using the plates or settings for your machine.
Glue to the card using photo glue.
