Raspberry and White Birthday Card
Made by Madeleine
The Marianne Design Anja's Circle die is a lovely die that can be used in different ways to achieve a variety of card designs. A combination of shiny silver, raspberry pink and white gives this card a fresh look and the gems add a touch of luxury.
The Tim Holtz pink raspberry distressed marker is used to colour the embossed sections of the intricate die cut. Because the distress markers contain water based ink, any colour left on the die itself is easily washed off using warm water and the die dried using a kitchen towel.
You need a die cutting machine to make this card.

Cut the silver mirror card to slightly large than the largest of the dies in the Anja's Circle set and run through the die cutting machine to cut it.
Using a piece of the smooth bright white card and the second largest die, run it through the die cutting machine once to cut it and then, changing plates, run it through again to emboss. Do not take the card out of the die.
Push out the cut out parts of the die using a pokey tool so that you can clearly identify the embossed sections of the design. Using the brush end of the Tim Holtz distress marked apply the picked raspberry colour using the die as your guide. Leave to dry before removing the card from the die.
Using the smooth bright white card and the Happy Birthday die run it through the die cutting machine. Remove the card from the die and colour the wording using the brush end of the picked raspberry distress marker. Leave to dry.
When the colour is dry, remove the intricate Anja's Circle die cut from the die and adhere to the silver mirror card die cut by applying photo glue to the solid sections of the die cut only and avoiding getting any glue on the intricate lattice.
Lightly apply photo glue to the Happy Birthday die cut and fix in place.
Wrap a length of the white satin edge to the left hand side of the card taking it inside the card using double sided tape to secure it in place. Cut a short piece of ribbon and loop it, using glue dots secure the ends underneath and top of the ribbon loop to the bottom. Fix the loop in place on the card using glue dots. Attach a crystal sparkler to the centre of the loop using an ulra thin glue dot.
Apply photo glue to the back of the silver Anja's Circle and adhere it to the card so that the right hand side of the die cut is level with the right hand side of the creased card but leaving equidistant gaps at the top and bottom.
Attach 3 self adhesive iridescent gems to the top right of the card.
Select one of the deep pink rose from the roses pack and fix it in place using Pinflair glue.
