Triple Label Decoupage Card
Made by Madeleine
Madeleine picked out the lavender in the decoupage flowers as the colour theme for this lavender and ivory card. It does take some time to make but the finished card is worth the effort.
Crystal embossing powder is wonderful to use. It is transparent but has a sparkle to it so the colour of the ink comes through with a lovely sparkly sheen.
Although the card is creased to allow it to stand up for display it won't fold because of the depth of the decoupage on both side panels so you will need to make a box for it.
You need a die cutting machine to make this card.

Push out and make up the bell flower and Sweet Pea decoupage flowers using either Pinflair glue or 3D foam pads. If using 3D foam pads use pads of different thickness between layers. Put to one side.
From the long side of 2 of the A4 sheets of Stardream Opal card cut off a piece 20mm wide. Trim the length of each piece to 255mm. Put to one side.
From the remaining Opal card cut six pieces each slightly bigger than the large intricate edged Nostalgic label Die. Run each piece of card through the die cutting machine once to cut and then again, changing plate or dial setting, to emboss.
After embossing each piece you will need to remove any pieces of cut card left in the die with a pokey tool. This is a boring but essential job to ensure a clean cut and deep emboss on each piece. We have always found the stab and grab tool really quick and easy for this task.
Using the second size nostalgic label and a sheet of lavender paper from the French Lavender paper pack (Madeleine used the lavender paper with the small cream leaf design) run it through the die cutting machine to cut. Cut a second label from the same sheet of paper. Using photo glue, adhere each of the lavender paper labels to one of the Opal intricate edged labels.
Attach the stamp to your block and using lavender ink stamp the wording onto one of the die cut opal labels. Sprinkle with crystal embossing powder and shake off excess. Heat the embossing powder with a heat gun until the embossing powder is risen and transparent.
Taking each of the three remaining opal labels glue each in turn to the back of the decorated labels using photo glue. Hold the two labels together until the photo glue dries before moving on to the next two.
Place the labels with the right side facing downwards on your work bench. Ensure that all the labels are straight and in line with one another with a 5mm gap between them. Using photo glue, attach the two strips of opal card that you cut earlier. Hold each strip in place until the photo glue is dry.
Turn the card over face side up and remove any photo glue from the strips that appear at the front of the card by simply rubbing your thumb over them. Create the creases in the strips of card by using a ruler and scoring them with the stab and grab tool.
Attach the decoupage to the card using photo glue.
Attach a bow at the top of the centre label using a memory book glue dot.
