Poppy Wheelbarrow Decoupage Card

This is a stunning card that combines decoupage, matting and layering die cuts, stamping and heat embossing. It isn't difficult but it does take a while to make.
You need a die cutting machine to make this card.

First push out and make up the decoupage using the pieces for the large poppy wheelbarrow layering the pieces in order using either 3D foam pads or Pinflair glue. Put to one side.
Take a piece of the dark cream and brown paper from the Bluebell paper pack and, using photo glue, adhere to the centre of the creased card leaving an even boarder all the way around.
Making the Die Cuts
Take the largest of the Anja's squares and the matt gold card and run it through the die cutting machine to cut.
Using the Stardream Mars card and the second largest of the Anja's squares run it through the die cutting machine to cut.
Take another piece of the dark cream and brown paper from the Bluebell paper pack and run through the die cutting machine with the third largest die to cut and then, changing plate or dial setting, run through again to emboss.
Cut a piece of wax paper a little larger than the Anja's label die. Place the wax paper between the die and the Stardream Opal card and run through the die cutting machine once to cut and then again, changing plates or settings, to emboss.
The die from the Anja's Labels set used for this card has some fine and intricate edging. The use of the wax paper makes it easier to remove the card from the die once it is cut and embossed.
Place the It's You Birthday stamp onto the acrylic block and ink the stamp with the metallic champagne ink. Stamp the wording onto the Stardream Opal die cut and sprinkle with embossing powder. Shake off excess and return to rub. Using the heat gun heat the embossing powder until it rises and sets.
Be careful when stamping onto Stardream card as it can smudge easily and this is one of the reasons why the ink must be set by using clear embossing powder. Once the embossing powder is set then the stamped wording will be fine.
Layering the Die Cuts
Position the matt gold die cut on the card in a diamond shape using Pinflair glue or 3D foam pads 1mm thick.
Using Pinflair glue or 3D foam pads 3mm thick mount the Stardream Mars die cut onto the matt gold die cut.
Place the cut and embossed cream and brown paper die cut onto the Mars die cut using photo glue.
Add the stamped Anja's label to the top of the diamond using Pinflair glue or 3mm foam pads and photo glue
Pinflair glue is the best glue to use for mounting the stamped label but if you prefer to use foam pads place a 3mm foam pad at the top of the label and a little photo glue at the bottom so that the label sits evenly at the top of the diamond where it overlaps some of the die cut layers.
Finally, add the decoupaged poppy wheelbarrow at an angle using photo glue.
