Anja's Circle Pinwheel Card
Made by Madeleine from an idea by Irene

Madeleine added lots of sparkle to this card to give it a touch of luxury which is also reflected in the richness of the gold against the pink and white.

The Marianne Design Anja's Circle die always creates an impact and here it is used as a background for the pinwheel embellishment to which a sparkly centre is added.

You need a die cutting machine to make this card.
The instructions for cutting the dies assume you are using a Big Shot or Cuttlebug - if you are using an Xcut Xpress or a Big Shot Plus you should be able to run all the dies through at the same time.

To make this card you will need:

Creased Card
173mm x 173mm White Creased Card Blank

Card and Paper:

A4 Gold Dust Card
A4 Matt Gold Card
Antique Library 6 x 6 Paper Pack

Die Cutting Machine such as the XCut Xpress, Cuttlebug or Big Shot

Dies
Marianne Creatables Anja's Circle
Spellbinder Shapeabilities Ribbon Buckles

Embellishments
Dazzlers - Assorted Circles
8 Crystal Sparklers
Self Adhesive A/B Coated Double Swirl Corner
15mm Double Sided Satin Ribbon - Honey Gold
Pin Wheels - Docrafts Capsule Collection - Bellisima

Glues
Photo Glue
Ultra Thin Glue Dots
Pinflair Glue or 3D Foam Pads 1mm Thick
5mm Double Sided Tape

Tools
Pokey Tool such as the Grab and Stab Tool
Bow Maker (Optional)

Cut a piece of matt gold card to measure 173mm x 173mm and glue to the front of the card blank using photo glue.  The remaining piece of the matt gold card will be used for the die cuts.

Cut a piece of gold dust card to 163mm x 163mm and, using double sided tape, attach a length of the honey gold ribbon, about 20mm from the bottom edge of the piece of card, taking it around the back of the card.  Make a bow, either by hand or with a bowmaker.  Put the bow to one side.

Creating the Die Cuts

Using the pink script paper from the Antique Library paper pack and the largest of the Anja's Circle dies run through the die cutting machine to cut.

Take the left over piece of matt gold card and cut one piece so it's slightly larger than the second largest of the Anja's Circle dies and another piece slightly larger than the smallest flower shaped ribbon buckles.  Run both pieces of card with the dies through the die cutting machine once to cut and then again, changing plates, to emboss.

Poke any remaining pieces from the Anja's intricate circle with a pokey tool.

Making the Topper of Die Cuts and Pinwheel

Attach the pink paper die cut Anja's circle to the right hand side of the gold dust card (it will slightly overlap the ribbon) using photo glue.

Using a little Pinflair glue or 3D foam pads attach the matt gold intricate circle centrally onto the pink paper circle.

Attach a crystal sparkler to the button on the larger pink pinwheel using an ultra thin glue dot.  Peel off the pinwheel from the backing sheet and fix in place in the centre of the Anja's matt gold circle.

Adding the Embellishments

Cut away the bottom part of the scroll from the larger of the 2 A/B Coated Double Swirl Corner and adhere it to the top left of the gold dust card.

Using ultra thin glue dots adhere one of the medium size dazzlers to the die cut ribbon buckle and then adhere the ribbon buckle to the centre of the bow.  Use another ultra thin glue dot and position and stick down the bow to the ribbon at the left hand side of the card.

Finally, using Pinflair glue or 3D foam pads, attach the gold dust card to the card blank leaving an even border all around.
